(About me)

I am thrilled

by exploring

intersections

As a social scientist and designer, I examine the interplay between society, politics, culture, and the development and innovation of technologies.

My research focus is currently on new technologies, digital societies, and the transition towards a sustainable future.

This relates to academic disciplines such as science and technology studies, the sociology of technology, the sociology of morality, and the sociology of organisations.

Beyond that, I am curious about the emergence of scientific knowledge and individual and collective patterns of behaviour. Furthermore, I am interested in issues of power and inequality, as well as the theories and methods of social sciences.

(Clients and Awards)

I have worked with a wide range of clients, from global corporations and local businesses to nonprofit organisations. This also includes political, cultural, and educational institutions, publishing houses, media companies, and start-ups. For instance, Nokia, the Berlin Senate, ARD, NDR, Victorinox, Ringier, and the Swiss Concussion Center – a former FIFA start-up specialising in the diagnosis of traumatic brain injuries in professional sports.

Driven by curiosity and always guided by a clear stance, I have partnered with my clients to explore new frontiers and create lasting solutions.

My work has also won numerous awards, such as the iF Design Award, the DDC Future Award, and the European Logo Design Award. Furthermore, it has been nominated for the German Design Award.

Service

Doing

Research

From reality to research. The problem always comes before the data. It all starts with asking the right question, followed by exploring the puzzle. It doesn't matter whether it's a business project, such as product development, or a scientific inquiry.

Service

Strategy

Building

From research to strategy. Data never tells the whole story. And as data is a construct, building a sound strategy requires more than just as much data as possible. It is essential to identify the underlying values. This demands thorough analysis and critical reflection.

Service

Branding

& UX/UI

From strategy to reality. The assumption that visual representation and identity of a brand are merely driven by business strategy and corporate vision is outdated. It is key to address the broader cultural context. After all, relatability builds trust, and performing authenticity is dead (which is even more true today with the rise of AI).
